About the Role
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Administration and HR Intern to join its team in Nairobi. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience in human resources and administrative operations within the UN system, supporting UNON’s mission as the UN’s headquarters in Africa.
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Human Resources and Administration Officer, the intern will assist in the day-to-day operations of the administrative and HR functions. Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation and organization of recruitment documentation and processes.
- Supporting staff onboarding, orientation, and maintaining personnel records.
- Assisting in compiling and updating HR data, reports, and statistics.
- Providing administrative support including filing, correspondence, and document management.
- Supporting the coordination of training, meetings, and HR events.
- Assisting in drafting memos, communications, and other HR-related materials.
- Helping maintain databases and digital archives for administrative efficiency.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
