Job Description
As a Programme Support Intern (Quantity Surveying), you will support planning, costing, and budgeting processes across UN-Habitat construction and infrastructure projects. You will assist with technical assessments and contribute to ensuring value for money in sustainable urban development initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for various construction and infrastructure projects.
- Project Planning: Support technical teams in planning and evaluating building projects, with a focus on cost control and sustainability.
- Documentation: Contribute to drafting technical reports, project briefs, and procurement documentation.
- Site Assessments: Participate in field visits to assess project sites and assist with progress reporting.
- Data Management: Assist in managing data related to materials, quantities, and costs for infrastructure components.
- Research: Conduct background research on cost-effective and sustainable building materials and construction techniques.
