Human Rights Intern
, you will support the integration of human rights principles into urban policies, projects, and programmes. This role provides exposure to international human rights frameworks, urban governance, and approaches that promote safe, inclusive, and equitable cities.
Job Description
- Assist in conducting research and analysis on human rights issues related to urban development, housing, and governance.
- Support the preparation of reports, briefing notes, and background papers highlighting human rights dimensions of UN-Habitat’s work.
- Contribute to the review and drafting of policy documents, guidance notes, and case studies.
- Help organize and provide administrative support for meetings, workshops, and consultations with partners and stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing communication materials that raise awareness of human rights in the urban context.
- Support monitoring and documentation of activities related to human rights integration in projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote rights-based approaches in planning and programming.
- Undertake additional tasks as needed to advance the objectives of the human rights unit.
