The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is the UN agency responsible for promoting socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities. UN-Habitat works to ensure adequate shelter, urban resilience, and inclusive urban policies, supporting member states in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 11: “Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.”
The Intern – Information Management position is designed for individuals eager to contribute to urban development and sustainability while gaining hands-on experience in information management.
The intern will support UN-Habitat’s efforts to collect, analyze, and visualize urban data, ensuring effective decision-making in policy and program development. Responsibilities include managing datasets, creating reports, assisting with digital platforms, and supporting knowledge-sharing initiatives.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in global urban development projects, interact with experts in urban planning and information management, and develop analytical and technical skills. The ideal candidate is a student or recent graduate in information management, data science, urban planning, or a related field, with strong skills in data analysis, visualization, and GIS tools.
