Job Description
The Intern – Information Technology will support the UN-Habitat IT team in delivering efficient technology solutions and ensuring smooth operations of IT systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Supporting the troubleshooting of technical issues and providing first-level IT support to staff.
- Participating in system upgrades, data backup processes, and security checks.
- Assisting in the preparation of IT documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Helping maintain the organization’s IT asset inventory and tracking usage.
- Collaborating with colleagues to support IT-related projects, including network and systems enhancements.
- Researching emerging technologies and providing recommendations for possible adoption.
- Assisting in maintaining a helpdesk ticketing system and ensuring timely resolution of requests.
This role provides exposure to a professional IT environment and an opportunity to understand the technical operations that support UN-Habitat’s global work.
