Job Description
As an Intern in Programme Management, you will:
- Assist in the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of ongoing programmes and projects.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, briefing notes, and background documents for internal and external use.
- Support the organization of meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
- Conduct desk research and compile data to support programme development and implementation.
- Assist in tracking progress against project indicators and help identify challenges and opportunities.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to programme teams where required.
The internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with UN-Habitat’s projects, particularly in urban development, governance, and sustainability. Interns will also develop skills in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and reporting within an international environment.
Duration
The internship is offered at the I-1 level, with the duty station based in Nairobi, Kenya. The position provides exposure to UN-Habitat’s work on sustainable cities and human settlements, while fostering a learning environment for career development.
