Situated in Siaya Town along the Siaya-Rang’ala Road, SIT is committed to delivering quality technical and vocational training that meets global standards. 1. Trainer – Health Sciences Department (Community Health Assistant)

Job Description:
- Develop and deliver training content in community health and public health to equip students with relevant skills and knowledge.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and practical learning resources to ensure comprehensive instruction.
- Conduct theoretical and practical lessons, assessments, and evaluations for students.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to students on career prospects in community health.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to enhance the quality of training through partnerships, fieldwork, and community-based activities.
- Participate in curriculum development, review, and updates to align training with emerging industry trends.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to the institution and learners.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards during practical sessions.
2. Trainer – Electrical/Electronic Engineering Department (Electrical Instrumentation and Control)

Job Description:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in electrical instrumentation and control, both theoretical and practical.
- Prepare course outlines, teaching aids, and practical tools to support effective learning.
- Facilitate practical training in electrical systems, instrumentation, and control technologies to ensure hands-on experience for students.
- Conduct regular assessments, examinations, and evaluations to monitor student performance.
- Mentor students in engineering projects and innovations to enhance creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Support curriculum development and periodic reviews to incorporate the latest advancements in electrical and electronic engineering.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to provide students with exposure to real-world practices and technologies.
- Promote a safe and conducive learning environment by adhering to safety protocols in workshops and labs.
Terms of Service
The positions are offered on a one-year contract, renewable based on satisfactory performance. The salary will be determined according to the existing Siaya Institute of Technology (SIT) Board of Governors Terms of Service.
