The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is offering an exciting internship opportunity for individuals passionate about sustainable urban development and capacity building . The Intern – Capacity Building and Sustainable Urban Development will be based at UN-Habitat’s headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya , and will support initiatives that enhance urban resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability.
As an intern, you will assist in research, policy analysis, and the development of training materials aimed at strengthening urban governance and planning. The ideal candidate should be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in urban planning, sustainable development, public policy, social sciences, or a related field . Strong research, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with a keen interest in urban development policies and capacity-building strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data visualization tools, and online learning platforms is an advantage.
